LONDON FASHION WEEK S/S2010 - LINA OSTERMANN
The third designer to take to the Blow Presents...catwalk, it's possible to sum up Lina Ostermann's collection with a consideration of the accompanying soundtrack. A drummer and guitarist took to the catwalk, blasting out dark, pulsating rhythms which were echoed in Lina's pieces. With faces obscured by black fabric and sharp wigs, the models stormed down the catwalk.
Beginning with black and transitioning through to navy before a single white finale outfit,Lina's collection of cropped boxy jackets, nonchalantly slung over and juxtaposed with sheer floor-length draping, and bondage-style straps for the ladies, and cinched waist jackets and floor-length string vests and cardigans for the gents, successfully built upon the dark, almost sinister aesthetic of last season's collection.
