LONDON FASHION WEEK S/S2010 - HOUSE OF BLUE EYES
Entitled 'I Feel Love', The House Of Blue Eyes' show acted as the Bacchanalian crown to my first day of London Fashion Week. Much has been made of fashion returning to commercial concerns amongst this questionable economic period, yet soundtracked by and drawing inspiration from the disco classics which defined the era, House of Blue Eyes' shunned such expectations, eschewing the darkness of their previous collection and instead leading an unabashed return to the decadent days of Studio 54.
Oversized pailattes enveloped gold lame bodies, jumpsuits, miniscule briefs and cycling shorts as male and female models, their bodies glittering with gold, cut a determined path through the suitably decadent venue of Jalouse. Concluding with a rendition of 'Heaven Must be Missing an Angel', and the head designers leading an eager audience to the dancefloor, House of Blue Eye's escapist show closed the first day of Fashion Week on an unquestionably joyful note.
