LONDON FASHION WEEK S/S2010 - MARK FAST
In his third season at London Fashion Week, Mark Fast continued to demonstrate his considerable skill in knitwear. His cobweb-esque, crochet technique is still in evidence, producing a slew of body-conscious numbers, whilst cut-outs, bra tops and high-waisted skirts revealed a requisite amount of flesh for summer. In a departure from his focus upon single pieces, Mark also produced separates -a pencil skirt, matching bra and mini skirt - and added volume to his pieces with gradually cascading, petal-like embellishment. The vivid colours of the collection - neon blue, hot pink - seared into the brain and beckoned summer forth.
